The local art scene is a thriving community of local artists that has galleries, museums, theatres, public art installations that showcase the uniqueness of each artist and group. It promotes the ability to use your creative spirit. And we want to PROMOTE and INVOLVE whoever is interested through our multi-media storytelling.
Our group of journalists comprises of Thompson Rivers University (TRU) students that is completing various stories for our JOUR 2060 Intro to Multi-media Storytelling class. TRU has played a crucial role in Kamloops art through visual arts programs and courses
Topics that Kamvas will cover are art installations, local galleries, events such as the Kamloops Film Festival, local artists, and classes people can get involved in such as those offered by the Kamloops Arts and Crafts Club. The topic of our stories lends itself to using images, videos, and audio to showcase the artistic community within Kamloops.
