Art Exposed 2025

Local Artist displaying their art at Old Courthouse Cultural Center. For over 10 years now Kamloops Arts Council has been doing a regional exhibition called “Art Exposed”. Exhibitions where local artists of all levels and mediums 3D and 2D may submit their artwork. This is a great chance for artists and art enjoyers of TRU to see and submit their own art pieces too. The exhibition has multiple categories for prizes including 2D and 3D as well as Emerging and Established artists, perhaps this is a good chance for many beginner artists to show their work. The submissions for artwork are coming to an end nearing the end of this month but if you don’t think you’ll have the time to make something or don’t have any work you can still make time to visit the Old Courthouse Cultural Center on the day of the event in march. In past runs of the event Art Exposed was able to showcase 200 art pieces from 120 different artists, this year one of those artists could be you or someone you know. Actually, looking at past photos of the event I was able to Identify and ask Conner Corbeil (seen in the first image with the green hair) who attended a past run of the event in 2021. He told me how he just walked around for a bit in the exhibition, “from what I can remember, it looked like there was mostly acrylic and oil paintings, some pencil and charcoal stuff, some marker things too. Some abstract, mostly nature and animals, mostly environment type stuff, some portraits, I saw some anime drawings as well. It was a mix of everything.”
